Today (27 February 2025), Ms. Pornpen Khongkajornkiat, Director of the Cross Cultural Foundation, filed a petition requesting the court to hold an emergency investigation of Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister in her capacity as Superintendent of the Royal Thai Police, and Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panpetch in her capacity as Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, after news broke that last night the police had sent 48 Uighurs, who had been detained in the Immigration Bureau's Immigration Detention Center (Suan Phlu) for more than 10 years, back to China.
